Night-owl inspirations, or My daily creative peak

The other night I got to thinking about inspiration.

After a particularly long and exhaustive day earlier this week, I was happily getting ready for bed – something I had been looking forward to all day – when my mind began racing with new ideas for an e-zine I’ll soon begin working on.

Suddenly, I wasn’t tired anymore. I grabbed my trusty notebook and pen and by the light of my bedside flashlight, I began scribbling down ideas. The more I wrote down, the more ideas came.

It was a great experience, and it made me realize something: My most inspired, creative time of day is always at night. Sure, I’m creative during non-vampire hours – I have to be – but there’s just something about the time after the sun goes down.

When is your daily creative peak? How do you harness it?
