30-Day Poetry Challenge: Day 4

Day 4: Look to Craigslist, newspapers, Twitter, anywhere for text. Turn it into a poem.

Took to Craigslist’s “Missed Connections” section, which was actually my first time looking at that section, and all I can say is, “Well, now.” Thought I’d stick with one of the more tame ones today.

Last night in Chelsea,
you were hailing cab on Sixth Avenue.
Blonde, dark coat and pumps.
You were also staring at your phone
so not sure you saw me walk by
as I crossed the street.
